Bunch of random bits and pieces:
1) I realise I said that was the end of the WE DVD, and generally it is, but I put up a page on my site detailing the whole thing for a future project -- this one is no big secret, but it ain't my secret. Anyway, the page is right here.
2) MORIENTES!
3) I want a Mac mini so bad, but I have absolutely no use for one. There are possibilities though -- like sticking it on top of the TV and turning it into a media DVD burner -- but the one that's equally most unrealistic and most exciting is installing it into a car.
4) The iPod shuffle is lame and dumb. Well, I say that, but on the flipside I'm in the market for a new USB flash drive, and if the 512MB iPod costs only a bit more than a decent-looking 512MB USB flash drive, then maybe...
5) Those pictures from Titan are absolutely insane. I love the story in general -- European probe carried to Saturnian moon by American spacecraft transmitting back pictures of a hazy organic moon's surface 1.2 billion kilometres to Earth -- and those pictures justify the hype. This excites me more than Spirit and Opportunity, that's for damned sure. I just wish Huygens had landed in one of those fabled hydrocarbon seas, but that's probably asking for too much!
6) Speaking of asking too much: Something very good and very exciting has happened to me. I'll reveal all when everything is signed and sealed sometime in the next two weeks!
